TO generate a Proxmox API Token, you go to Datacenter > Exapnd the Permissions Menu > APITokens. Here you click Add. YOU choose a user and define a Token Name (ours is fixparsec :). You can also add an expiration date. Make sure you copy your secret and put it somewhere safe. After you generate the token you must go back to the permissions Tab! Then select Add > APIToken Permission. Make the relevant selections and save. Now our token should be ready to use.
